This is Dave and Jen. Dave could be one of the funniest guys I've ever met. He seems like a mild mannered working guy, clean cut, pretty quiet. But then he'll randomly bust out these voices and faces. Don't get me wrong, he is very capable of dry, witting humor as well. This guy cracks me up. Jen, well, she's just beautiful and one of the sweetest girls I've ever photographed. They make, not only a gorgeous couple, but a super fun one!
How I know is Dave is pretty interesting...We have a few mutual friends, but strangely, he sold my best friend a car at Carmax a few years ago and it took all night for us to put it together.
On our shoot we met at 230 Forest Restaurant for some mojitos and then shot all around South Laguna. Jen was a real sport climbing stairs, rocks, and cliffs for some great shots. I actually shot their wedding this last weekend, and I can't wait to share those pics next!

Ok, this was taken a while back, probably 6 or so months ago...but I finally got a chance to post these today! I was reminded by a birthday greeting from Joe Greenetz that I hadn't showed him these shots yet! I am buddies with a bunch of guys in Sherwood, and they let me hang out with them backstage, and on, during their show. We all went to college together, and I have followed them as best I could since graduation. They are always  SO fun to photograph. Joe is one of the most animated, spirited drummers I have ever seen, and they play with so much passion; needless to say it was an AMAZING show. Oh, and they sound great too. Check out their newest record if you haven't already. Oh, and Better Than Ezra rocked out too!!

I know I am a little biased because Shelby is a great friend and in fact was a bridesmaid in my wedding, but she was a stunning bride at a truly beautiful wedding. We were all so happy for Shelby when she started dating Matt. He is one of the most upstanding, nicest guys I've ever met and he absolutely LOVES Shelby. We are all so thrilled for them. With the sun setting in front of the ceremony and with the walnut grove setting nestled in the hills, it was like a movie wedding. Especially when the best man ran up stage about three fourths of the way through the wedding due to be held up at the police station. (It was his rookie year and he couldn't get out...not because he was a perp. HA!)
Congratulations you two! We love you!

Susanne McClain - VCS Music Teacher says:

Thanks for sharing some of your wedding day photos with us...they are spectacular. Of course, it doesn't hurt if the bride and groom are both adorable and handsome and very photogenic. I met Shelby at CA Church one Sunday when you had just gotten engaged and knew she was a very special young lady...just what you deserve Matt. You were always a favorite student of mine at Village and never gave me one bit of trouble all the years you were in my music classes. I remember praying for you after the car accident...and here you are today coaching and getting married. No wonder God has special plans for you and that's why He surrounded you with angels in that car. Best of luck in your life together and may you always have "Happy Days!" :)
